Email connection troubleshooting
The account shows "Connection expired — reconnect"
Providers occasionally sign apps out — a password change, a security review, or an expired authorization. Fix:
- Open the Connections page (/connections).
- Click the account's tile, then Connect.
- Sign in with the same account and approve every permission (unchecking any limits what Jordyn can do).
Your settings and history are preserved. Jordyn also emails you once when a connection drops, with a Reconnect now button.
"Sign-in never finished — reconnect or remove"
The sign-in window was closed partway or the provider errored. Click the tile and Connect again, finishing the whole flow.
Reconnect completes but the warning stays
- Refresh the page.
- If it persists: fully disconnect the account (remove control, then Disconnect), then connect it fresh with all permissions approved.
- Still stuck after 30 seconds and a refresh? The account may be restricted at the provider's end (for example, a workspace admin policy) — contact support.
Fastmail-specific
- The key must start with fmu1- and be created in Fastmail under Settings → Privacy & Security → API tokens with Mail and Calendars ticked.
- "This token doesn't have Mail access" or "doesn't have Calendar access": recreate the token with both boxes ticked and reconnect.
The inbox is empty or stale
- Click the refresh button on the Inbox — it forces a full sync.
- Check the Connections page for yellow "needs attention" dots; a stale account stops syncing.
- "Still loading your accounts — try that again in a second": wait a moment and retry.
Search says results are incomplete
The message names which accounts could not be searched. Retry, and if one account fails repeatedly, reconnect it on the Connections page.
