Finding files
First: just ask Jordyn
Every file you have ever uploaded or Jordyn has ever created is stored permanently and indexed by content — what images show, the text inside PDFs, dates, people, labels. So ask naturally:
- "Find the screenshot where the balance shows overdue."
- "Which file is the signed Wilson agreement?"
- "The invoice from Brightpath, from around March."
Uploads never expire
Only temporary download links lapse — the file itself is always there, and Jordyn can mint a fresh link or re-open the file anytime. Jordyn will never ask you to re-upload something you already sent; if it ever seems lost, say "list my files."
Where files live in the app
- Assets (/assets) — every uploaded and generated file, permanently.
- Documents (/documents) — PDFs and Word documents Jordyn created, with search and filters.
- Attachments (/attachments) — files that arrived on your email, indexed across accounts.
Common cases
- "It was inside a zip I uploaded" — every image inside an uploaded zip is extracted automatically into Assets as its own file.
- "It was an email attachment from an account I disconnected" — attachments from a disconnected mailbox cannot be fetched until the mailbox is reconnected. Jordyn will say so plainly and offer alternatives.
- "Jordyn grabbed the wrong file" — correct it once ("that's the logo, not the headshot") and Jordyn labels the file permanently, so every future conversation knows.
- "I saved it to Dropbox/Drive but can't find it" — Jordyn reports the exact folder path it used at save time; ask "where did you put it?" and it answers from the record.
Keeping matters organized
Ask Jordyn to group related files under a project name ("file these under smith-closing") — whole matters stay together and searchable.
