AI phone campaigns and answering missions
There are two kinds, in two places. You need an active phone line first — see "Phone line and texting."
- Call campaigns (Campaigns → Calls, /phone/campaigns; start one from + New campaign → People who know you → Call) — Jordyn calls a whole list for you. A six-step guide asks every question: the goal and which line calls, the script (Jordyn writes it with you), what she can do on a call, who to call (upload a CSV or Excel list, or pick contacts or a saved list — she checks every number, removes duplicates and do-not-call numbers, and finds each person's time zone), when to call (days, hours in each person's own time zone, never before 8 AM or after 9 PM their time, pace, retries, voicemail), and a review with the cost at your rates before launch.
- Answering missions (Phone → Setup → Answering missions, /phone/settings/missions) — a mission for the calls your line receives: answering calls for a promotion, qualifying leads, taking intake. Each mission has its own instructions, its own knowledge base, its own schedule, and its own analytics. The rest of this guide covers missions.
Creating a mission
- On the Answering missions page, start a new mission.
- Fill in the form — or click Let Jordyn draft this campaign and the whole form is filled in one shot from a short description of what you want. Every section also has its own AI suggestion button (instructions, intake fields, rules, guardrails), so you can draft one piece at a time.
- Build the knowledge base (below), set the schedule, and turn it on.
The campaign knowledge base
The caller only knows what you give it. Build the knowledge base from any mix of:
- Your website — choose "Important pages" or "The whole site" (or a single page). You watch the crawl live: first crawling, then distilling what it found into knowledge the caller can use.
- Uploaded documents
- Pasted text
- AI drafting — Jordyn writes the knowledge for you to review.
Intake fields and phone etiquette
List the fields the caller should capture (name, email, reason for calling, whatever the campaign needs). The caller follows a strict discipline:
- Fields are captured one at a time, never as a barrage.
- Names are read back to confirm.
- Emails are spelled out letter by letter.
- Phone numbers are read back one digit at a time.
- The assistant always discloses that it is a virtual assistant.
Booking appointments mid-call
Turn on the booking toggle and the caller can book real appointments during the call: it checks live availability from your booking page setup, offers open times, books the slot, and reads the confirmation back to the caller. The appointment lands exactly as a booking-page booking would.
Schedule, language, and call settings
- Business hours: each campaign has an enforced schedule with a time zone and separate weekday/weekend hours.
- Language: per campaign — English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Mandarin, and more.
- SMS summary: optionally get a text summary after each call.
- Max call length: 2 to 240 minutes.
Outbound compliance
These rules are enforced, not optional:
- Outbound calls only go out between 8 AM and 9 PM in the recipient's local time.
- Anyone who asks not to be called is marked do-not-call automatically and is never called again. A "Do not call" badge shows on their contact.
- Voicemail gets one polite retry — never more.
Analytics
Each campaign reports per call: a recording, the full transcript, a rating, sentiment, and whether the campaign goal was met. Export calls to CSV whenever you need the raw data.
